What wonderful find!
A true decorators statement piece.
We found this one owner stove in a small village in
the Dordogne. It is enamelled on all four
sides in a beautiful rich green enamel with a nickelled
top lid, and on each side of
the casting is the birds of paradise motif. The
superbly flowing corner pillars are nickelled. The natural
and continuous art nouveau design dates the stove to
around 1910.
The smoke box and flue spigot have been replaced with a new
one
The top plate has been renewed.
The firebricks have been renewed with a modern
vermiculite
fireboard.
All metal work has all been newly re-nickelled and
looks superb.
The mica has been replaced in the door.
The condition is absolutely magnificent, and the
colour is superb.
The firebox, riddler and ash box are all in excellent
working order and it is ready to use.
WE CAN SUPPLY the correct 97mm flue pipe and bends for
the Monopole, as well as an adapter to 125mm (5").
This is a rare opportunity to own a working, living
individual piece of French 20thC history. Stoves like
this Monopole 115 do not come on the market often so we advise
you to offer early to avoid disappointment.
This elegant Monopole 115 will add grandeur to any period home and
would also compliment an elegant conservatory.
Height 88cms (35”)
Height 110cms (43½") with the lid up
Width 40cms (15¾”)
Depth 40cms (15¾”)
The flue is 9.7cms (3¾”) in diameter
Weight is 104kgs (230lbs)
It can heat room of 100m3 ~ 150m3.
