This is a stove in
the Art Deco style
from the 1940/50's
manufactured by
venerated company
Godin. The colour is
a beautiful rich
brown enamel. It
burns wood, coal or
coke making it a
very versatile
stove.
Fuel is loaded from
the top. Simply lift
the enamel lid and
then the second lid
to the firebox and
pop in the coal or
wood.
The inner lid is
ideal for boiling a
kettle or cooking
on... perfect for a
Pot au feu (stew if
you like!) on a cold
winters evening aahh!!!
The construction
is of heavy cast
iron, and it is
quite a lump. It is
in full functioning
order and the
firebox, grate and
riddler are all in
excellent condition.
